                                                                                                        Notes & Comments

1 John 5;3 “To love God means that we obey his commandments and Obeying his commandments isn't difficult(Grievous, or Burdensome). – So it seems to me that if his commandments are not difficult or grievous we should strive to keep them and not make excuses why we fail at wholesome obedience. God’s word does not contradict itself the commands of the New Covenant/Testament is not given for you to break but to keep and God expects you to obey fully what He has said with the Help of the Holy Spirit who supernaturally empowers believers to Glorify God in many ways, one of them being Obedience. Someone may say “ what if I fail, or fall into Sin?” The answer is Confess to God and repent of your Sin and get back to pleasing God, God will not turn one of His own away. Someone else may say “ its impossible to keep God’s commands, this type of understanding is incorrect, and it stems from an old covenant/testament way of thinking. This kind of thinking says no one can obey God fully no one can keep all of His commands. This is true but it only applies to the old covenant, the law in the old covenant was given to arouse sin and make it abound. ( Romans 5; 20) But the Royal Law, God’s Law, Christ’s Law, Christ’s sayings can be obeyed and should be obeyed without excuse because we have power to say no to Sin, it is no longer our master causing us to obey it. (Romans 6; 14)  Lastly in No way am I saying that keeping commands gets you in Heaven for we know God is only pleased by Faith in Him, His Son, and His word, and this Faith comes from Grace which is Undeserved Favor from God, therefore salvation from Hell and Eternal Life is purely a Gift from God and doesnt come by Human doings. But now that God has saved You believer you should show your love for Him through Obedience to His word and let me remind you if you haven’t realized it yet YOU HAVE THE POWER FROM GOD TO OBEY GOD and He expects you to, and He does not want you to have a mindset of failure when it comes to his commands in the New Covenant/Testament.

My prayer is you consider these things brethren, because to have a carnal mind is to be in enmity with God, because the carnal mind is Hostile towards His commands.- Romans 8;7 I don’t want anyone to be o k with failure because God has prepared a people who are Zealous of Good works, a peculiar people who keep His commands and confess that His commands are not grievous or difficult but Good, Holy, Wise and for our Good and will bless us if we keep them while Believing on Christ Jesus and glorifying His name.
