2 Corinthians 5:17> This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun! NLT
People will always remember who you use to be therefore some of them can't receive who you have become. It is Christ that brings about true change of a person which means if you belong to Him you have become a new person and your old life is gone and done away with. When you give your life to Christ He gives you a brand new start, so forget the past and put it behind you and move forward in Christ.

Romans 8:28> And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to His purpose for them.
1 Corinthians 2:9 reassures the believers in Christ that, "That is what the Scriptures mean when they say, “No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love Him.

Acts 3:6-8> But Peter said, “I don’t have any silver or gold for you. But I’ll give you what I have. In the name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene, get up and walk!” Then Peter took the lame man by the right hand and helped him up. And as he did, the man’s feet and ankles were instantly healed and strengthened. He jumped up, stood on his feet, and began to walk! Then, walking, leaping, and praising God, he went into the Temple with them. NLT
The man that was lame showed his gratitude to God for healing him by leaping and praising God. The scripture is a reminder that we must praise God and give Him glory for the things He has done for us. As believers we shall go out among the world and testify and proclaim the goodness of the Lord so that unbelievers will come to beleive in the mighty power of God through Jesus Christ.
Then our mouth was filled with laughter And our tongue with joyful shouting; Then they said among the nations, “The Lord has done great things for them.” The Lord has done great things for us; We are glad! PSALM 126:2-3 AMP

Romans 12:2> Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect. NLT
What does God says about the behaviors of this world? Ephesians 4:18-24 NLT says, "Their minds are full of darkness; they wander far from the life God gives because they have closed their minds and hardened their hearts against Him. They have no sense of shame. They live for lustful pleasure and eagerly practice every kind of impurity. But that isn’t what you learned about Christ. Since you have heard about Jesus and have learned the truth that comes from Him, throw off your old sinful nature and your former way of life, which is corrupted by lust and deception. Instead, let the Spirit renew your thoughts and attitudes. Put on your new nature, created to be like God—truly righteous and holy.

2 Corinthians 4:8-9> We are pressed on every side by troubles, but we are not crushed. We are perplexed, but not driven to despair. We are hunted down, but never abandoned by God. We get knocked down, but we are not destroyed.
This scripture is hope and encouragement to every believer of Jesus Christ. Although, as believers in Christ we are persecuted and forsaken by family, friends, and the world, God gives hope to His people that He will never leave them or forsake them. Isaiah 41:10 God says to the believer, "Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand."
