Proverbs 4:20-21> Attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. Let them not depart from thine eyes.

There is power in keeping the Word in front of your eyes and going into your ears. That’s how it gets in your heart, so you can live by it. Once you’ve     made the Word of God final authority in your life, your first step to victory over the attacks of the enemy is to go to the Word and lay hold of God’s   promises concerning your situation.
Notice I said, “Go to the Word.” It’s good to have the Word committed to memory. But don’t let that substitute for getting the Word before your eyes on a   daily basis. Feed on those promises and grow strong!

Jeremiah 29:11> For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord . “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.

God had a plan for us even before we entered in to our Mother's womb He knew us. His ultimate plan was to give us life through Jesus Christ and to   redeem us from sin and destruction. In  Roman 5:8,  God's word clearly shows us and God proves His own love for us by the fact that while we were still     sinners, Christ died for us.Our hope and future is in Christ Jesus.

Psalms 119:9> How can a young person stay pure? By obeying your word.

The scripture Ecclesiastes 12:13 tell us, "That’s the whole story. Here now is my final conclusion: Fear God and obey His commands, for this is everyone’s duty."

Nehemiah 8:10> The joy of the Lord is your strength.

Joy. It's not a warm, happy feeling you're supposed to have now and then when things are going well. It's much more than that. Joy is one of the most     powerful spiritual forces in the world. Look again at Nehemiah 8:10. If you were to diagram that scripture and remove the phrase, "of the Lord," you   would find what it's truly saying is this: Joy is strength. The two are interchangeable.
That's what makes joy so crucial. You can't live a life of faith without being strong in the Lord—and when God wants to make you strong, joy is what He   uses to do the job! Joy is not just a state of mind. It is not a fleeting emotion. Joy is a very real force, and the devil doesn't have anything that can stand up   against it. Just as fear has to yield to faith, discouragement has to yield to joy.
Since joy is one of the fruits of the Holy Spirit, you already have it residing within you. But you must develop it, confess it and live by it if you want to enjoy   its power.

1 SAMUEL 2:3 > “Do not go on boasting so very proudly, Do not let arrogance come out of your mouth; For the Lord is a God of knowledge, And by Him   actions are weighed (examined).AMP

God says in Proverbs 8:13 NLT, "All who fear the Lord will hate evil. Therefore, I hate pride and arrogance, corruption and perverse speech."
Proverbs 13:3> The one who guards his mouth [thinking before he speaks] protects his life; The one who opens wide his lips [and chatters without   thinking] comes to ruin. According to 1 PETER 3:10> The one who wants to enjoy life and see good days [good whether apparent or not], must keep his   tongue free from evil and his lips from speaking guile (treachery, deceit).‭ AMP

2 Corinthians 13:5> Examine yourselves to see if your faith is genuine. Test yourselves. Surely you know that Jesus Christ is among you ; if not, you have failed the test of genuine faith.

The Bible depicts  in the story of Job, a great example of a man's genuine faith in God. God allows the Devil to test Job with tragedy to prove to the Devil that no matter what you do to Job that he is a faithful man of God and he will not curse me.  Job loses everything and in the midst of his tragedy Job examines himself and after all the testing, Job says to God though you slay me yet will I trust you. What an awesome example of Faith! We should follow the example of Job.  James 1:3 tell us as a believer, that when your faith is tested, you learn to be patient in suffering.  The big question is, Is your faith genuine?  When you are faced with tragedies, trials ,and test, how will your faith prove out? Will you be the light of God or will you dwell in darkness?
