The Mystery of God's Eternal Purpose.
[Foundational Passage]
Ephesians 3; 1-11
1' For this reason I, Paul, a prisoner of Christ Jesus on behalf of you Gentiles— 2' assuming that you have heard of the stewardship of God's grace that was given to me for you, 3' how the mystery was made known to me by revelation, as I have written briefly. 4' When you read this, you can perceive my insight into the mystery of Christ, 5' which was not made known to the sons of men in other generations as it has now been revealed to his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit. 6' This mystery is that the Gentiles are fellow heirs, members of the same body, and partakers of the promise in Christ Jesus through the gospel. 7' Of this gospel I was made a minister according to the gift of God's grace, which was given me by the working of his power. 8' To me, though I am the very least of all the saints, this grace was given, to preach to the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ, 9' and to bring to light for everyone what is the plan of the mystery which from the beginning of the world has been hid in God, who created all things, 10' so that through the church the manifold wisdom of God might now be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly places. 11' This was according to the Eternal Purpose that he has accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord -Ephesians 3:1‭-‬11
God's Eternal Purpose in one Statement

  • The mystery of the Eternal purpose has always been to reconcile a people from Israel and the Gentile Nations through Jesus Christ and to make it known to all beings primarily Humans and Spirits through the advent of the Church and it's chosen/sent preachers.
  • God ultimately wanted there to be people from all nations, all places, all languages to know & worship Him through His Son Jesus Christ,  and God the Father promised this inheritance of people to Christ the Son before the world began.(John 10:29)(Psalm 2:7-8)(Deuteronomy 32;9)

(•)Because of the Gentiles {in this instance speaking of the whole pre-Israelite world} because of their resistance and perverseness against God's will in Genesis, God took for Himself a special people from among them and made that people group the only nation He would extend Himself to for a time, that nation God raised up is called Israel which He raised up from the seed of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob but the rest of the nations He left to their on devices & destruction for a time. (Deuteronomy 32;7-10) (Genesis ch.11 & ch.12)
(•) But when the nation of Israel continued to get stubborn and rebellious against God and then rejected the Messiah Jesus. The Lord then also left the children of Israel to their on destruction and devices for a time just as He did the rest of the world/Gentiles before. But when God partially closed the door on Israel He opened the door wide again to the Whole Gentile world, thus people such as myself a Gentile can enter Covenant with God through faith in Christ apart from Abrahamic Descent or Circumcision or the law of Moses. But just as God opened the door for the Gentiles(whole world) again, He will also open the door for a remnant of Jews/ Israel again to be Saved through Christ in the very end. (Romans 11;6-33) (Acts 13;45-48)( Colossians 2;13-18)
-And the whole time all of this was God's mysterious Eternal plan to do through Christ Jesus throughout all the ages even before & since the foundation of the world. (Deuteronomy 32; 21)( Romans 15;8-17)(Romans 11;32-33) ( Galatians 3;8)
